Monday update

I did run out of time getting the #ue4jam project together. It looks pretty, but there wasn’t much in terms of gameplay.

The two best parts were the drones and the magic missile fire. They way they launched from your drone, it looked like rocket launchers.

This past week was pretty good for Atom Bug. I was able to use some of the knowledge I learned from the game jam to help with the asset import bugs we had been facing. Now we jumped from having one enemy complete to having 5 completed.

#UE4JAM part 2

It looks like I might run out of time on the game jam. However, it has been a lot of fun and I learned quite a bit. The past couple of days have been spent making graphics. Usually I do not get a chance to make a lot of graphics during a jam, so that has been interesting.

#UE4JAM

I’m working with an artist, Leon Kennedy on the UE4Jam. The theme is “Make It Count”. We bounced a few ideas back and forth and settled on having a limited number of resources, as in a tower defense game, and having to make the placement count for something. In the initial prototyping, we decided on creating drones.

So far so good 🙂

Atom Bug

It has been a while since I posted. Other projects kept getting in the way.

I started a project in January called Atom Bug. It is based on a comic book of the same name.

The game is being written in Unreal Engine 4 with the 3D assets produced in Maya by the author Mike Mauro.

Back in business

After a few month hiatus, I now have enough funding to continue my work. I will be posting updates as I go along. 🙂

Sorry for the blog vanishing. The site was hacked three times last year. Hopefully things are better now.
